It turns out that beauty really does come from within… surprisingly, the gut-skin connection is still relatively unknown. Studies show that where there is gut inflammation, there will be skin inflammation, and that people who have a healthier gut microbiota often have a healthier fatty acid profile in their skin - meaning their skin is more moisturised, hydrated and protected from within.

Carla Oates created the world’s first living, bio-fermented, probiotic inner beauty product, GLOW, when she launched The Beauty Chef in 2009. Thirteen years on, kiwis are getting direct access to the innovative and highly coveted brand with local business Two Hundred Doors now distributing their products across New Zealand.
